Pat Capponi

Pat Capponi came to Toronto from Montreal after separating from her husband. Depression landed her in the psychiatric ward of a hospital and from there she was sent to live in a boarding house for mentally ill people. Three years later she left and led a successful campaign to have the boarding house closed. Capponi lives in Toronto where she is a leading advocate for mental health care.
