Robertson Davies
Robertson Davies was born 28 August 1913 in Thamesville, Ontario. He attended Upper Canada College, Queen's University, and Oxford, studying literature. He worked in the theatre for a few years before becoming the literary editor of Saturday Night Magazine and then editor of the Peterborough Examiner. Davies was appointed Master of Massey College in 1961 and died 2 December 1995 in Orangeville, Ontario.
