I am a Canadian from Ontario working for the United Nations in Rome. I am writing from a small hotel in Khartoum, Sudan where I am currently on mission. Fantastically, I happened to pick up the Other Side of the Bridge - from the piles of novels left behind by travellers in this strange place. To my great surprise, the novel by Mary Lawson immediately and simultaneously captivated me, made me homesick and caused me to think about the choices that we all make in life.

I would like to convey my sincere appreciation to Ms. Lawson and will now go back and find Crow Lake! Lori Bell
