Chad Pelley was born on 4 November 1980. He studied biology and English at Memorial University and publishing at Ryerson University. He is the publisher and editor of The Overcast, an arts and culture newspaper, and has contributed to various periodicals, such as Current Magazine and Atlantic Books Today. Pelley lives in St. John's, Newfoundland.
