Alex Brett earned a B.Sc. (Honours) from Dalhousie University and has worked as a park naturalist and as a writer and press officer with the National Research Council of Canada. In addition to her Morgan O'Brien mystery novels, Brett is a freelance science writer. She lives in Ottawa.
