Sheila Clarke was born in Arvida, Quebec and grew up in the Eastern Townships. She moved to British Columbia in 1971 and has lived in several BC communities. While living in Malaysia, she worked at the United Nations High Commission for Refugees as an ESL volunteer. Clarke is a teacher and homemaker and lives in Vancouver.
