Hugh Hood
Hugh Hood was born 30 April 1928 in Toronto, Ontario. He received his Ph.D. in 1955 from the University of Toronto and taught English literature at the University of Montreal for over thirty years. Hood is perhaps best known for his twelve-volume series of books, The New Age, which he wrote over a span of 25 years. Hood died on 1 August 2000 in Montreal, Quebec.
