Edward McCourt

Edward McCourt was born in 1907 in Mullinger, Ireland and came to Canada with his family in 1909. He grew up near Kitscoty, Alberta and studied English literature at the University of Alberta. In 1937, he earned an M.A. from Oxford which he attended as a Rhodes scholar. McCourt taught at the University of New Brunswick, Queen's University, and the University of Saskatoon. He died in 1972 in Saskatoon.
