Jane Rule

Jane Rule was born on 28 March 1931 in Plainfield, New Jersey. She graduated from Mills College in California with a B.A. in English in 1952, then studied for a year at University College in London. Rule moved to Vancouver in 1956 where she taught at the University of British Columbia. She lived on Galiano Island until her death on 27 November 2007 of complications from liver cancer.
