Laura Goodman Salverson

Laura Goodman Salverson was born 9 December 1890 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the daughter of Icelandic immigrants. Faced with poverty for most of her life, Salverson worked during the day and wrote at night. In addition to her writing, she edited Icelandic Canadian Magazine. Salverson died 13 July 1970.
