Patricia Storms was born on 28 March 1963 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She lived briefly in Jamaica, then grew up in Burlington, Ontario. Storms worked in libraries for a decade before becoming a full-time illustrator and cartoonist. She lives in Toronto.
