Scott Young was born in Cypress River, Manitoba in 1918. In addition to his more than forty books, he wrote for newspapers and magazines, and often appeared on Hockey Night in Canada. He was also the father of musician Neil Young, the subject of his 1984 book, Neil and Me. Young died in June 2005.
