Joan Barfoot

Joan Barfoot was born in 1946 in Owen Sound, Ontario and grew up on a farm. She graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Western Ontario in 1969 and worked as a reporter and editor for several newspapers, including the Owen Sound Sun-Times, the Toronto Sun, and the London Free Press. Barfoot became a full-time fiction writer several years ago.
