Matt Cohen
Matt Cohen was born 30 December 1942 in Kingston, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1964 with a B.A. in Political Economy and earned a Master's degree in Political Science the following year. He taught at McMaster University and the University of Victoria and served as writer-in-residence at several schools and libraries. In addition to his novels, Cohen wrote several books for children using the pseudonym, Teddy Jam, a secret which was not revealed until after his death. Cohen died of lung cancer on 2 December 1999.
