Camilla Gibb was born in 1968 in London, England and grew up in Toronto. She received a B.A. in anthropology and Middle Eastern studies from the University of Toronto in 1991 and a Ph.D. in social anthropology from Oxford University in 1997. Gibb lives in Toronto.
