Lucy Maud Montgomery

Lucy Maud Montgomery was born 30 November 1874 in Clifton, Prince Edward Island. She started writing poetry at age nine and went on to produce more than twenty novels, as well as hundreds of poems and short stories. Montgomery committed suicide in Toronto, Ontario on 24 April 1942.
