Thomas Wharton

Thomas Wharton was born on 25 February 1963 in Grande Prairie, Alberta and moved with his family to Jasper when he was a teenager. After earning a diploma in biological sciences and working as a medical lab technician, Wharton received a B.A. in English in 1991 and an M.A. in English in 1993 from the University of Alberta and a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Calgary. Wharton teaches English and creative writing at the University of Alberta and lives in Edmonton.
