Emma Donoghue

Emma Donoghue was born on 24 October 1969 in Dublin, Ireland. She earned a B.A. in English and French from University College Dublin in 1990 and a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in 1997. The following year, she made Canada her home, becoming a citizen in 2004. In addition to her novels, short stories, and literary histories, Donoghue has written plays for radio and stage. She lives in London, Ontario.
