Timothy Findley
Timothy Findley was born 30 October 1930 in Toronto, Ontario. He studied acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England and was part of the original group of actors at the Stratford Festival in Stratford, Ontario. Findley left the theatre in 1960 to become a writer. In addition to his novels, he wrote stage plays and teleplays, the latter with his partner Bill Whitehead. Known as Tiff to his friends, Findley died 20 June 2002 in Provence, France.
