Some of the literary events taking place across the country today.
- Ontario: Ottawa
- Canada's only national mystery conference, Bloody Words, starts today in Ottawa. Anthony Bidulka, J.D. Carpenter, Howard Shrier, and Caro Soles will be reading at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel, 100 Kent Street, Lower Level, starting at 6:30pm.
- Ontario: Toronto
- Luminato, Toronto's Festival of Arts and Creativity also starts today. Marie-Louise Gay will be at the Flemingdon Park branch of the Toronto Public Library, 29 St. Dennis Dr., starting at 1:30pm.
- Granta will be launching their New Fiction Special issue at TYPE Books, 883 Queen St. W., starting at 7pm.
