Will Ferguson was born and raised in Fort Vermilion, Alberta. He graduated from York University with a B.F.A. in film production and screenwriting in 1990, then taught English in Japan for several years. Ferguson currently lives in Calgary, Alberta. His brother, Ian Ferguson, is also a writer.
