Edeet Ravel

Edeet Ravel was born on a kibbutz in Israel to Canadian parents. At age 7, her family moved to Montreal and at age 18, she moved back to Jerusalem and earned a B.A. and M.A. in English literature from the Hebrew University. Returning to Canada, Ravel earned an M.A. in 1986 and a Ph.D. in 1992 in Jewish studies from McGill University and an M.A. in creative writing from Concordia University. After teaching for two decades, Ravel now lives in Guelph, Ontario.
