Bill Gaston was born in 1953 and grew up in Winnipeg, Toronto, and North Vancouver. He earned a B.A. in 1975, an M.A. in 1978, and an M.F.A. in 1981 from the University of British Columbia. Gaston lives in Victoria and teaches at the University of Victoria.
