Arthur Slade was born on 9 July 1967 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and grew up in the Cypress Hills. He received a B.A. in English from the University of Saskatchewan in 1989 and worked in advertising before becoming a full-time writer. Slade lives in Saskatoon.
